Drontal Allwormer for cats is recommended by veterinarians to control all intestinal worms in cats and kittens. Just one tablet per 4kg/6kg is all it takes to keep worms under control in most adult cats.
Drontal is highly effective in removing tapeworms, hookworms, and large roundworms in cats and kittens
Dosage - 4kg option:
- 2kg & under = ½ tablet
- 2.1 - 4kg = 1 tablet
- 4.1 â 6kg = 1.5 tablets
- 6.1 â 8 kg = 2 tablets
Dosage - 6kg option:
- 3kg & under = ½ tablet
- 3.1kg â 6kg = 1 tablet
- 6.1 â 9kg = 1.5 tablets
- 9.1 â 12kg = 2 tablets
Adults treat every 3 months
Kittens treat at 4, 6, 8, 12 weeks; then 3 monthlyÂ
Pregnant/Lactating Queens treat every 3 months prior to mating, 10 days before kittening and at 2 and 4 weeks after kittening
Worms, if present, may not appear in the droppings after treatment, or may not appear for up to 48 hours after treatment.Â
DRONTAL is given as a single dose by mouth. The tablet is best administered as whole portions rather than crushed in feed since praziquantel gives it a bitter taste. DRONTAL may be given on an empty stomach or at feeding times
